Živogšće is a small city on the south side of Makarska Riviera under the Biokovo mountain also a park of nature.
Around Živogoće there are three small places Porat, Mala Duba and Blato also a part of Makarska Riviera. It is only 20 kilometers away from Makarska, 80 kilometers from Split and 120 kilometers from Dubrovnik.
Živogošće was first mentioned in the mid 13th century. In 1616, a Franciscan monastery was founded, which became a center of spiritual life and literacy in the region with a rich library and art for several centuries.
There are beautiful pebbly beaches with pine trees, clear blue sea and the impressions of staying in Živogošće leave in a long pleasant memories. Besides swimming and sunbathing, here you can do many other summer sports and entertainment activities, including trips to Makrska, Split, Tučepi, Dubrovnik or visit one of the nearby islands within full-day boat trips.
